This independent school in Kalamazoo, Michigan was suffering from an identity problem. For starters, the name “Kazoo” was confused with the area’s public school system (Kalamazoo Public Schools). But more urgently, the school was largely unknown. A bold visual system and catchy marketing campaign was the solution! Complete with a new website and social media campaigns, Kazoo School is making a new splash in Kalamazoo.
The website was redesigned for two reasons. First, the previous website was so hard for the staff to maintain that it was frequently out of date and not a tool that anyone at the school felt comfortable using. Second, there was a sense that the website needed to better reflect the character of the school. The site needed to quickly and concisely communicate what makes the school unique and special to the most casual visitor.
